Thanksgiving Dinner and Valentine's Day Tea
The WISE Thing To Do (TWTTD), has hosted two special day events for WISEPlace. The guild members include: Maeva Hutter, Julie Onken, Barbara Wood, Alice Stylianou and Kathi Bowman. They prepared and served a superb traditional Thanksgiving dinner at the Positive Step house for current and former WISEPlace residents. They also decorated and gave each program participant a gift. It was especially nice to have a holiday dinner in the more intimate setting that the house provides.
The ladies of this guild also hosted a Valentine's Day Tea in conjunction with the February shower for 7 "Steps"program graduates. The guild did a beautiful job of decorating the Enderle Room with red and white hearts and flowers for the occasion and provided lovely tea sets and a wide array of proper tea fare. The table decorations included gifts for all of the residents festooned with balloons.
They rounded out their portion of the program with a fun game and prizes. Maeva Hutter and Barbara Wood also volunteer at WISEPlace on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. This guild is providing much needed incremental support to our program!
