For this year's Lukens Legacy Award winner, we are pleased to honor dear friends of WISEPlace.Michele and Tim Ryan have been involved with WISEPlace since before we were born so to speak. Michele was on our Board of Directors when we were still the YWCA. Even during the years when she was not on the board, she has been an uninterrupted contributor and advocate for the women of WISEPlace. Tim is also involved in a number of charitable causes in the OrangeCounty community and in 2008, they were honored by Orangewood Foundation as their honorees at their 2008 Ambassadors Luncheon. He has been there all along the way as a special friend to WISEPlace by adding his own outreach to enable the WISEPlace residents to have fun special event outings over the years. After she served as the auction chair of our A Home for the Holidays (AHFTH) event in 2008, Tim joined Michele in 2009 as the co-chairs of our 2009 AHFTH. Thanks to their leadership in acquiring The Honda Center and Anaheim Ducks as co-sponsors of the event, and for their ability to draw other high profile individuals, companies and foundations to our cause, we netted over $100,000 at the 2009 AHFTH. For these reasons and for all of the things they have done over the years, we are proud to present the Lukens Legacy Award to Michele and Tim Ryan.
